New Appointments
Feel free to contact us at 01494 444 076 to schedule your appointment. However, please be aware that we might not be able to schedule your appointment as quickly as we have done in the past due to two reasons.
First, since the lockdown began 3 months ago, we had to cancel numerous appointments. This means that in the first couple of weeks after reopening we will have to prioritise appointments for patients who have had dental emergencies or appointments cancelled during the time of the lockdown.
Second, we will have to reduce the number of patients we see per day to ensure that the practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded. We will do this by leaving gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
To assist us with the new policies designed to keep you safe, please
do not attend the clinic unless you have an appointment already booked.
If you already have an appointment booked, please attend alone, if possible.
Safety Measures
Patient safety and comfort is of utmost importance for us and we are doing everything we can to make sure that our practice will be the safest place for our patients to visit. That is why we have introduced a number of measures to upgrade the practice to the highest standard of safety by purchasing new equipment and redesigning your patient journey.
New equipment
We have obtained new equipment to ensure the best level of protection for our patients. The new equipment includes:

Viruskiller air purifiers in all surgeries and waiting areas. This is one of the most advanced air purification system available on the market which neutralises 99.99999% of viruses;

New easy clean flooring and furniture which will be disinfected frequently throughout the day;

Protective screen at reception;

Upgrading our PPE to the highest standards of safety.
During your visit
In addition to the new equipment, we have redesigned the patient journey in line with social distancing measures by implementing the following procedures to ensure your safety:

We will be conducting pre-screening of patients for Covid-19; symptoms over the phone at the time you book your appointment.

We will contact you on the day before your appointment by phone to make sure that there are no changes in your medical condition;

We will ask you to arrive no sooner than 5 min before your appointment at the practice to minimise contact with other patients;

We will ask you to wear a face mask during your visit. If you do not have a face mask, one will be provided to you when you arrive at the practice;

We will ask you to come alone if possible;

We will ask you to come with as few personal belongings as possible;
-
We will ask you to leave your belongings at reception to reduce risks of cross-contamination;

We will be taking your temperature on arrival using a non-contact thermometer;

We will provide you with hand sanitiser upon arrival in the practice;

After being seated at the chair before treatment, we might ask you to rinse with mouthwash which will further reduce the risk of infection;

We will process your payment contactless to reduce touch points at the practice;

We will ask you to sign any paperwork with a single-use pen which you can take with you or dispose at the practice;

We will offer you hand sanitiser before leaving the practice;

As always, the dental team will thoroughly and frequently disinfect the dental surgery and touch points in waiting areas reducing further the risk of exposure.
With all these measures in place you can be confident that our practice is providing the highest level of protection with your safety in mind. Our practice will be one of the safest places you will visit outside of your home.
